We are still here

So I feel bad that I haven't posted in a while. I do have some new pictures and stuff to add, I just haven't had the time. Or when I've had the time, Charlie has been on the laptop. It's so much easier to upload the pictures from the laptop. Anyway, so I'm just going on record as saying that I plan to update the blog this week, some time. I'm also giving warning that when I update, it will be long.

Bah

So today I took my teaching certification tests. I feel good about the basic skills test. On the other hand I don't feel all that great about the elementary education test. I guess I will just have to wait and sees how the scores are. All I got to say is "Bah" about the whole ordeal.

Garden

I have breaking up the sod for a garden in our yard. It's a lot like work but I really missed having one last year. We have some of that natural fertilizer on it but we need more. Dad goes by a farm on the way to work so he is going to stop in and see if we can get some more. I want some good tomatoes, what I bought down here last year were blah.

It's to bad we have to build a fence around it to keep out the deer. We might even have to buy a fencer to put a hot wire around the top. Got to love the neighbors for feeding the deer. Maybe it's time to take up bow hunting, I have always wanted to learn :-)

Happy Spring!!!!

First Picnic of the Year!!!!

Today was the first day of spring break for Les and the last day of school for the kids before they begin theirs. The weather is absolutely gorgeous today and so we decided to have a little picnic. It is the first picnic of the year and also our first picnic at our new house. I know we were lame to get McD's, but having the picnic was a last minute decision and we were going to McD's for a specific reason.

Yesterday at school Bradyn lost his lunch money at recess and he was pretty upset about it. Of course, I didn't find out until after school so I couldn't bring him up anything. Apparently they were so kind as to give him some fruit, milk and crackers at no charge (please sense my sarcasm). I really wish the school would just do an IOU program. I understand that there are probably lots of people that would take advantage of it, but there are also a lot of people that would be honest and pay their balance in a timely manner. So, anyway..... I told Bradyn that we would bring him up McD's for lunch today (something that we have never done at this school) so, he was pretty excited. I really hope that today's lunch was way better for him then yesterdays.
