Christmas????

Our Christmas cactus does not seem to know what time of year it is. It has bloomed as early as Halloween but I do not remember it blooming at this time of year before. Maybe it wants to be an early Easter cactus. This plant has gotten huge and need to repotted but I'm not sure how big of pot I want to go to.

Number 2

Here is Sabrina's quilt up on the rack waiting for me to finish it up. So far I have only one row done and 5 more to go. Then the binding with some quilting done around the edge. I might have it done by May, sure hope so. It was to be done by last Christmas but as you can tell I didn't make it.
It seems when I get the top done I want to start on the next one before I finish the first one. Creating the tops are fun to me and I enjoy it so much.
I have the material for the next one for Charlie and Hillary. The top should be done by this Christmas but I won't promise that it will be quilted. I sure would like to buy a quilting machine but it to expensive for the few quilts that I make. But this time I might see how much it would cost to go and use someones machine. It would be a new challenge and fun to try one out. I'm so thankful that those who get the quilts don't expect perfection.
I'm even thinking about the design for a future quilt for Les and Kristi. I should get a hold of Rebecca and see what colors she likes. I have been told that she is getting married in October 2013 and that would be a good gift for her. I might have time to get it done : -) who knows?

Sunset, thy name is Beast

Last Friday I picked up Tasha so that she could spend the weekend with us. Well, with it being the beginning of the month it was time to give the cats their medicine. It is easy to catch and hold on to Kelly to give her her medicine. Sunset on the other hand is a completely different story, she hates to be caught and hates getting her medicine put on even more. Tasha was tricky and grabbed onto her and I went to help her while Mom got the medicine ready. For being such a fat cat Sunset is a rather strong and agile cat. Well needless to say, Sunset "The Beast" won the battle.
Tasha was lucky and only got a light claw scratch.

Mom's finger got bit and ended up bruising.

My hand really got scratched up and I also bruised and was slightly swollen the next morning.

GOOD NEWS

Chuck is doing ok after having his knee scoped yesterday. A little sore but that is to be expected. He is planning on going to work on Monday. They have moved his office down stairs so that will help until he is fully recovered.

I'm really excited about my new job. I get to start work at Fairmont State University on Tuesday in the Student Services department. I was hired to work with registration. I have had a few years of experience, so I know I can do it. When I was asked if I would accept the job I wanted to yell yes!!!! How more blessed can I be, getting a job that I really wanted, within a mile or two of the house, and part time. I know sometimes it will be full time but I can only work 1000 hours from July 1 - June 30. So between now and June 30 I could work full time. Then the 1000 hours begin all over again on July 1.

Man I do have plans. 1st we are getting 9 new windows, 2nd paying off the truck, 3rd building up our food storage. That is enough right now, one thing at a time. Still just super excited.

Ward Family Movie Night

Last weekend, our ward had a family movie night. We asked the kids to bring boxes decorated like cars so they could watch the movie like they were at a drive-in. Then half way through the movie there was a car parade so the kids could show off their cars. Here are what our kids (and Charlie) came up with:
